Today marks the beginning of our 7-day tour from Tangier to Marrakech. Your driver will meet you at the airport or your accommodation and take you on a scenic drive to Chefchaouen, the blue city, passing through the stunning Rif Mountains and the charming city of Tetouan. Along the way, you’ll enjoy breathtaking landscapes and majestic mountain views. Upon arrival in Chefchaouen, you’ll have the chance to explore its main attractions and immerse yourself in its unique charm. Your first night will be spent in a cozy riad or hotel in Chefchaouen, setting the tone for the adventure ahead.
DAY 2: Chefchaouen – Ouezzane – Volubilis – Fes
After enjoying breakfast at your accommodation, our private tour will begin as we head towards Volubilis, passing through Ouezzane and several charming Rif villages. In Volubilis, you’ll have the chance to explore some of the best-preserved Roman ruins in Morocco and delve into the fascinating archaeological history of the site. Following this visit, we’ll continue to the historic city of Meknes, a 17th-century gem. Here, we’ll pause for a lunch break and take time to wander around the medina’s impressive ancient walls, including iconic landmarks like Bab El Mansour and the Moulay Ismail Tomb. After exploring Meknes, we’ll drive directly to Fes, where you’ll spend the night.
DAY 3: Fes Sightseeing Tour
Today, you’ll embark on a guided tour to discover the Medina of Fes, its famous Souks, and its narrow, winding cobblestone streets. These streets are adorned with historic mosques, towering green-glazed minarets, and stunning Andalusian architecture that can be found throughout the ancient city and its landmarks. We’ll make sure you explore all the culturally and historically significant sites, including the renowned Al-Qarawiyyin University. You’ll also visit the iconic tanneries and a ceramic cooperative to witness traditional Moroccan craftsmanship. The day’s itinerary includes a stop at a well-known ceramic factory, followed by a breathtaking panoramic view of the entire Fes Medina. Your day concludes with an overnight stay at a hotel or riad.
DAY 4: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Ziz valley – Merzouga
Today, we’ll begin by picking you up from your accommodation in Fes and driving south toward Azrou, passing through Ifrane, often referred to as the “Switzerland of Morocco.” Along the way, we’ll stop in the Middle Atlas Mountains to visit the cedar forest, where you can capture stunning photos with the Barbary macaques. Continuing our journey through the Atlas Mountains, we’ll admire the scenic views of Midelt, where you’ll enjoy a lunch break. After lunch, we’ll travel through the Ziz Valley, passing by Erfoud and Rissani, before reaching Merzouga. You’ll spend the night at a local hotel or riad in Merzouga, ready for the adventures ahead.
DAY 5: Merzouga – Sahara Desert sightseeing – Camel ride – Desert camp
Today is dedicated to discovering the mesmerizing sand dunes of Erg Chebbi and the surrounding villages. After breakfast at your accommodation, the adventure begins with a visit to the nomadic communities living in traditional Berber tents in the heart of the Sahara Desert. Experience their way of life and enjoy a refreshing cup of tea with them. Next, we’ll head to the Meffis mines to learn about the local mining practices. Following this, we’ll explore the village of Khamlia, home to the Gnaoua people, where you’ll immerse yourself in their unique music and culture, and enjoy lunch with the locals. Later, we return to Merzouga, where you’ll embark on a camel trek across the towering dunes of Erg Chebbi. Your experienced guides will provide tips on mounting, dismounting, and camel safety. Witness the stunning sunset from atop a high dune before returning to your desert camp for the night. After a delightful dinner, gather around to enjoy traditional Berber music performed by local nomads under a starry sky. DAY 6: Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley
On this day, we’ll wake you up early to witness a breathtaking sunrise, where the shifting light paints the sea of sand dunes—the highest in Morocco—with stunning colors and shadows. After soaking in this magical moment, we’ll return to our desert accommodation for breakfast. Next, we’ll head to Rissani to explore its traditional market, renowned as the largest in southern Morocco. From there, we’ll continue our journey to Tinghir and then to the magnificent Todra Gorge, known for being the tallest and narrowest gorge in the country. This natural wonder is perfect for hiking, relaxing by the river, or savoring local Berber dishes. After lunch in the heart of the gorge, we’ll drive through the scenic Dades Valley, ending the day with an overnight stay at a charming accommodation perched atop a mountain.
DAY 7: Dades Valley – Skoura – Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – Marrakech
On the final day, after enjoying breakfast at your accommodation, we’ll journey through the Dades Valley toward Kalaat M’Gouna, known as the city of roses, and continue to Ouarzazate. The scenic route through the Dades Valley, often referred to as the “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs,” offers countless opportunities to capture stunning photos of your trip. We’ll make a brief stop at the Atlas Film Studios in Ouarzazate before heading to the iconic Ait Benhaddou Kasbah. This impressive kasbah, the largest in Morocco, was constructed by Thami El Glaoui, a prominent Berber chieftain in the early 20th century. It served as a key stop on his travels between the Sahara and Marrakech and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987. You’ll have time to explore and enjoy lunch at this remarkable site. Afterward, we’ll cross the High Atlas Mountains, passing breathtaking panoramic views and charming Berber villages along the way, until we reach Marrakech, marking the end of your 7-day tour.
