Agadir- Agadir
DAY 1: Agadir – Taroudant – Taliouine – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate
Departure is scheduled around 07:00 a.m. from your accommodation in Agadir, passing through Taroudant, often referred to as “Little Marrakesh,” where you’ll take a short tour of the city walls and the Medina. The journey continues to Taliouine, Morocco’s sole saffron-producing region, with a stop at the Saffron Cooperative and a brief visit to the Glaoui Kasbah. Next, you’ll head to Taznakht for lunch and a visit to a local carpet factory. From there, the route leads to the iconic Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a renowned filming location for movies like Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, The Mummy, and Game of Thrones. After exploring the kasbah, the day concludes with dinner and an overnight stay in Ouarzazate.
DAY 2: Ouarzazate – Rose Valley – Todra gorges – Merzouga Desert
This morning, around 8:00 a.m., after enjoying breakfast in Ouarzazate, we set off through the scenic Rose Valley and Dades Valley, heading toward the breathtaking Todra Gorges. Here, we pause to take a leisurely stroll through the stunning gorges and enjoy lunch. Afterward, our 4-day Agadir to Merzouga desert adventure continues as we make our way to the iconic dunes of Erg Chebbi. Upon arrival, you’ll embark on a memorable camel ride, traversing the golden sands to reach the heart of the dunes. The view from the top offers a spectacular sunset that paints the sky in vibrant hues. The day concludes with an overnight stay and dinner at a charming desert camp, immersing you in the magic of the Sahara.
DAY 3: Merzouga Desert – Rissani – Alnif – Agdz
At the camp, you’ll be informed of the wake-up time to witness the breathtaking sunrise from the dunes, where the shifting colors and shadow patterns create a stunning visual spectacle. After enjoying this magical moment, you’ll return to the camp for a refreshing shower and breakfast. Following this, the journey continues as you travel from Merzouga to the Draa Valley, Morocco’s largest valley, passing through Rissani, Alnif, and Nkob. The day concludes in Agdz, where you’ll enjoy dinner and spend the night.
DAY 4: Agdz – Rissani – Alnif – Agadir
After breakfast in Agdz, we depart for Agadir via Taznakht, renowned for its exquisite Berber rugs and carpets. Along the way, we traverse stunning landscapes and pass by the Bouazzer mines, a remote and less-traveled region of Morocco. Our journey continues through the Tizi N’Ikhsane and Tizi N’Tighatine mountain passes before stopping for lunch in Taliouine, the center of Morocco’s saffron production. Here, you can visit a fascinating small museum dedicated to the cultivation of saffron.
Following lunch, we head toward Taroudant and drive alongside the often-dry Souss River, surrounded by countless argan trees dotting the hillsides. By evening, we arrive back in Agadir, where you will be dropped off at your accommodation. This marks the conclusion of our 4-day tour from Agadir to Merzouga, bringing an end to our services.
