Day 1 : Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ounila Valley – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – Ouarzazate
Your 4-day desert adventure begins with a convenient pickup from Marrakech airport or your accommodation. Embark on a scenic drive through the impressive High Atlas Mountains, traversing the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass while enjoying breathtaking panoramic views. Next, visit the renowned Ait-Ben-Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a captivating fortified village.
This iconic location has graced the silver screen in numerous films such as “Gladiator,” “Alexander,” and “The Mummy,” as well as the popular TV series “Game of Thrones.” Continue your journey to Ouarzazate, often referred to as “The Gate of the Desert.” Enjoy a delicious dinner and spend the night in a comfortable hotel.
Day 2 : Ouarzazate – Agdz -Draa Valley – Nkob – Rissani – Merzouga Desert
Following breakfast, we delve into the captivating city of Ouarzazate. First, we’ll explore the renowned Atlas Studios, a legendary backdrop for numerous blockbuster films. Next, we’ll visit the majestic Taourirt Kasbah, an ancient fortified mud castle steeped in history. Our journey then takes us towards Agdz, where we’ll encounter the Draa Valley, home to Morocco’s longest river. We’ll meander along its banks, stopping to admire panoramic vistas of lush palm groves, spectacular Kasbahs, and charming Berber villages. Enjoy a leisurely lunch in Nkob or Alnif. Continuing our desert adventure, we’ll traverse Rissani and arrive at the awe-inspiring Erg Chebbi sand dunes. Here, we’ll embark on a thrilling camel ride, traversing the vast Sahara Desert. As the sun begins to set, we’ll pause atop a towering dune to witness a breathtaking sunset. We’ll then journey to our unique desert camp, a harmonious blend of traditional nomadic tents and modern comforts. Day 3 : Merzouga Sahara – Rissani – Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Boumalne Dades
