This 11-day Morocco tour offers a perfect blend of history, culture, and breathtaking landscapes. Starting in Casablanca, you’ll visit the capital city of Rabat before heading to Meknes, the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, and the vibrant city of Fes. After a day exploring Fes’s rich history and bustling medina, the journey continues through Ifrane and the Middle Atlas to the enchanting Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga, where you’ll experience the magic of the Sahara Desert. From the desert, travel through Rissani and the stunning Todra Gorges to the picturesque Dades Valley and Ouarzazate. Explore the iconic Kasbah Ait Benhaddou before arriving in Marrakech, where you’ll immerse yourself in its lively souks and historic landmarks. A day trip to the coastal town of Essaouira offers a refreshing change of scenery with its charming medina and Atlantic views. The tour concludes with a return to Casablanca, leaving you with unforgettable memories of Morocco’s diverse beauty and culture.
Casablanca – Marrakech
Day 1 : Casablanca – Rabat
Your Morocco tour begins with a warm welcome from your driver at your arrival point. The adventure starts with a visit to the impressive Hassan II Mosque, the largest mosque in North Africa. Following this, enjoy a leisurely walk along the scenic Ain Diab beachfront. The journey then takes you to Rabat, Morocco’s capital, where you’ll spend the night in a charming hotel or riad with breakfast included.
Day 2 : Rabat – Meknes – Volubilis – Fes
After breakfast, your Morocco tour driver will guide you through Rabat’s key landmarks, including the Mausoleum, the Hassan Tower, and the Oudaya Kasbah. From there, you’ll travel to Meknes, the historic Ismaili capital of Morocco. In Meknes, you’ll explore the impressive Bab El Mansour gate, the Sahrij Souani stables, the medina, and the Royal Palace. Next, you’ll visit the stunning Roman ruins of Volubilis, home to beautifully preserved mosaics that showcase Morocco’s rich history. Continuing your journey, you’ll enjoy scenic views of the Rif Mountains as you head towards Fes, where you’ll spend the night in a Hotel or Riad with breakfast included.
Day 3 : Fes Guided Tour
Your guided tour of Fes medina, the world’s largest pedestrian area, begins with an exploration of its winding alleys and narrow streets, accompanied by a knowledgeable local guide. Highlights of the tour include the Al-Karaouine Mosque, renowned as the world’s first university, the Medersa Bouanania, the iconic tanneries, and various bustling souks. You’ll enjoy a delicious Moroccan lunch at a traditional restaurant. The journey continues with visits to the Royal Palace, the Jewish Quarter, a ceramic factory, and the Merinid tombs, where you’ll take in a breathtaking panoramic view of the entire medina of Fes. Overnight accommodations will be at a Hotel or Riad with breakfast included.
Day 4 : Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Merzouga Erg Chebbi Dunes
After having breakfast, you will depart to Merzouga where the Erg Chebbi Dunes are located. These dunes are the highlight of Morocco tour for most of our clients. The journey will include a stop in Ifrane “Morocco’s Switzerland”. Then head to the Azrou cedar forest in the Middle Atlas Mountains where you can feed monkeys in their natural habitat. You’ll continue until you reach the main Saharan town, Rissani. Afterwards, you will head south untill the Erg Chebbi dunes appear out of nowhere. You’ll then reach the hotel/Kasbah situated at the foot of the sand dunes to chill out, have dinner and stay overnight, all while listening to the traditional sounds of Berber music.
Day 5: exploring Merzouga Desert Tour
In the morning, you can enjoy some sand boarding and hiking in the big dunes of Erg Chebbi. Cool off with a swim in the hotel pool, or use the free WIFI in the restaurant area. During sunset, your camel will be waiting to take you on an amazing journey into the desert, where you will witness the collision of the dunes with the sky colors while the sun sets. You will spend the night in a tent in a Berber camp surrounded by towering sand dunes, where your guide will cook an authentic Moroccan meal. Relax, listen to some traditional Berber music, and enjoy the moon and the stars in the amazing Sahara.
Day 6: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges
Wake up to a spectacular sunrise over the dunes and ride your camel back to the hotel where you will have breakfast. Then drive to the main saharian town Rissani. Afterwards, you’ll head to Erfoud, which is known for its fossils, and also where you can make a stop to visit the workshops. Your journey will continue in Todra Gorges, a 300m high canyon in the eastern part of the High Atlas Mountains in Morocco, near the town of Tinghir, where you can do some hiking. Have dinner and stay overnight in Todra Gorges.
Day 7: Todra Gorges – Dades Valley – Skoura – Ouarzazate
On Day 7, your journey takes you through the stunning Todra Gorges and into the picturesque Dades Valley. From there, you’ll continue to the charming village of Skoura, known for its lush palm groves and historic kasbahs, before reaching Ouarzazate, the “Gateway to the Desert.” This day offers breathtaking landscapes and the opportunity to explore some of Morocco’s most iconic natural and cultural landmarks.
Day 8: Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – Atlas Mountains – Marrakech
After breakfast, your Moroccco tour will take you to visit the cinema sets studios located in Ouarzazate, which is known as Hollywood of Africa. Afterwards, visit another UNESCO world heritage site, the famous Ait Benhaddou Kasbah<, an old village that has been used as a backdrop for more than many films including “Gladiator”, “Indiana Jones,” and “Lawrence of Arabia”. Enjoy a walk to explore the traditional Moroccan style of architecture in which the Kasbahs are built. You’ll continue on the way to Marrakesh through the High Atlas Mountains and Tizi n’Tichka pass where you will enjoy snaky road, beautiful landscapes and Berber villages along the way. Overnight in Hotel/Riad BB in Marrakech.
Day 9: Marrakech Guided Tour
On Day 9, you’ll embark on a guided tour of Marrakech, one of Morocco’s most vibrant cities. Your local guide will take you through the city’s bustling souks, historic landmarks, and cultural treasures. Highlights include the famous Jemaa el-Fnaa square, the majestic Koutoubia Mosque, the stunning Bahia Palace, and the tranquil Majorelle Garden. You’ll also have the chance to explore the intricacies of the old medina, experiencing the lively atmosphere of this captivating city.
Day 10: Essaouira day trip
After breakfast, your Morocco tour’s driver will take you to Essaouira, an outstanding fishing town. On your way, you will cross the Argan trees forest, where you might spot some goats climbing the trees. Upon arrival you will Visit the fishing port of Essaouira and watch the local fishermen, Skala Kasbah and Walk down the beach and watch local boys playing football. Then, you will have a seafood lunch at a local restaurant and stroll in the Medina of Essaouira, which can be explored easily. An annual festival of “Gnawa music” gathers different musical groups from around Africa in June. In the afternoon you’ll travel back to Marrakech and your overnight accommodation will be in our Hotel/Riad BB.
Day 11: Marrakech / Departure Casablanca airport
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for departure. You will have a memorable time during our 11 days Morocco tour.
