This captivating Morocco itinerary offers a rich blend of history, culture, and natural wonders. The journey begins in Casablanca, traveling to Meknes and the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis before arriving in the imperial city of Fes, renowned for its labyrinthine medina and vibrant souks. A scenic excursion to the enchanting blue city of Chefchaouen follows, offering picturesque views and charming alleys. The adventure continues with a drive through the stunning landscapes of Ifrane and Azrou, leading to the majestic Erg Chebbi dunes, where the magic of the Sahara Desert awaits. From there, the route passes through the breathtaking Todra Gorges and reaches Ouarzazate, the gateway to the desert. Along the way, explore the iconic Kasbah Ait Benhaddou before arriving in Marrakech, where vibrant souks, historic landmarks, and a lively cultural atmosphere beckon. The journey concludes with a departure from Marrakech, leaving unforgettable memories of Morocco’s diverse landscapes and rich heritage.
Casablanca – Marrakech
Day 1: Casablanca – Meknes – Volubilis – Fes
Upon your arrival, your driver will warmly welcome you, and your Morocco tour will begin with a visit to the impressive Hassan II Mosque, the largest mosque in North Africa. From there, you’ll journey to Meknes, known as the Ismaili capital of Morocco. In Meknes, you’ll explore the grand Bab El Mansour gate, the medina, and the Royal Palace. Next, you’ll visit the remarkable Roman ruins of Volubilis, where beautifully preserved mosaics showcase Morocco’s rich history. Continuing your journey, you’ll enjoy scenic views of the Rif Mountains as you make your way to the city of Fes. Upon arrival, your driver will escort you to your Riad in Fes for an overnight stay.
Day 2 : Fes Guided Tour
Your local guide will meet you at your riad to begin an immersive tour of Fes Medina, the world’s largest car-free urban area. You’ll wander through its winding alleys and narrow streets, discovering landmarks such as the Al-Karaouine Mosque, recognized as the world’s oldest university, the Medersa Bouanania, the vibrant tanneries, and the bustling souks. Enjoy a traditional Moroccan lunch at a local restaurant before continuing the journey to explore the Royal Palace, the Jewish Quarter, a ceramic workshop, and the Merinid tombs, which offer breathtaking panoramic views of the entire medina. Overnight accommodations will be provided at a riad or hotel.
Day 3 : Chefchaouen day tour From Fes
Your Morocco tour journey will continue to Chefchaouen after breakfast, after a 3 or 4 hours drive, you will be amazed by the stunning sights of a blue city located in the Rif Mountains. The influence of the Spanish civilization and Moorish culture can be seen in the architecture and the colors used to decorate the city. While exploring the streets of the city, you will enjoy the markets offer unique native handicrafts and perhaps take photos with wonderful views of the Rif Mountains. In the afternoon, we will drive you back to Fes.
Day 4 : Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Merzouga Erg Chebbi Dunes
After having breakfast, you will depart to Merzouga where the Erg Chebbi Dunes are located. These dunes are the highlight of Morocco tour for most of our clients. The journey will include a stop in Ifrane “Morocco’s Switzerland”. Then head to the Azrou cedar forest in the Middle Atlas Mountains where you can feed monkeys in their natural habitat. You’ll continue until you reach the main Saharan town, Rissani. Afterwards, you will head south untill the Erg Chebbi dunes appear out of nowhere. You’ll then reach the hotel/Kasbah situated at the foot of the sand dunes to chill out, have dinner and stay overnight, all while listening to the traditional sounds of Berber music.
Day 5: exploring Merzouga Desert Tour
In the morning, you can enjoy some sand boarding and hiking in the big dunes of Erg Chebbi. Cool off with a swim in the hotel pool, or use the free WIFI in the restaurant area. During sunset, your camel will be waiting to take you on an amazing journey into the desert, where you will witness the collision of the dunes with the sky colors while the sun sets. You will spend the night in a tent in a Berber camp surrounded by towering sand dunes, where your guide will cook an authentic Moroccan meal. Relax, listen to some traditional Berber music, and enjoy the moon and the stars in the amazing Sahara.
Day 6: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Ouarzazate
Wake up to a spectacular sunrise over the dunes and ride your camel back to the hotel where you will have breakfast. Then drive to Todra Gorges, a 300m high canyon in the eastern part of the High Atlas Mountains in Morocco, near the town of Tinghir, where you can do some hiking. Have dinner and stay overnight in Todra Gorges. Your journey will continue to Ouarzazate where you can visit Ouarzazate studios, Africa’s Hollywood whose astonishing scenery and topography have lured some of the world’s leading film-makers and directors to make use of the landscape. Overnight in Ouarzazate.
Day 7: Ouarzazate – Kasbah Ait Benhaddou – Atlas Mountains – Marrakech
After breakfast, your Morocco tour will continue to the famous Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, an old village that has been used as a backdrop for more than many films including “Gladiator”, “Indiana Jones,” and “Lawrence of Arabia”. Enjoy a walk to explore the traditional Moroccan style of architecture in which the Kasbahs are built. You’ll continue on the way to Marrakesh through the High Atlas Mountains and Tizi n’Tichka pass where you will enjoy snaky road, beautiful landscapes and Berber villages along the way. Overnight in Hotel/Riad BB in Marrakech.
Day 8: Marrakech Guided Tour
After breakfast, You will start you guided tour of Marrakech, the southern pearl of Morocco. You will visit the Palace of the Bahia, the Saadian Tombs and Koutoubia Mosque. Lunch will be served at a restaurant near the famous square Djemaa el-Fna, afterward you will continue exploring the souks of the medina. Overnight in Hotel/Riad BB.
Day 9: Marrakech / Depart
After breakfast, your Morocco journey will come to an end with a transfer to the airport for your departure.
