Fes- Marrakech
Day 1 : Fes – Ifran – Cedar Forest – Merzouga Sahara Desert
Depart early at approximately 8:30 AM from Fes to Merzouga, passing through the charming town of Ifrane and the cedar forest of Azrou, where you’ll have the opportunity to feed the monkeys. Continue your journey towards the desert, traveling along the breathtaking Ziz Valley with stops to admire panoramic views. Upon arrival in the desert, embark on a camel ride across the sand dunes, pausing to witness the sunset before reaching the campsite. Enjoy a cup of tea, savor a delicious dinner, and immerse yourself in the rhythms of Berber music by the campfire.
Day 2 : Visit Merzouga desert
In the morning, embark on a desert tour to explore the surroundings. Visit Khamlia village, share tea with the nomads, and discover ancient rock engravings. Later, search for fossils in the area. In the afternoon, head to Erg Chebbi for another camel ride and admire a stunning sunset once again.
Day 3 : Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Valley – Skoura Oasis
Departing from the Sahara Desert, head west to explore the foothills of the Atlas Mountains and the stunning natural landscapes of the Todra and Dades Gorges. Stop in Rissani to visit the local market and savor traditional cuisine.
Continuing along the Dades River, travel westward to the Skoura Oasis, with the Atlas Mountains still visible to the north. Spend the night in Skoura, surrounded by palm trees, at a peaceful lodge.
Day 4 : Skoura Oasis – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Atlas Mountains – Marrakech
Discover some of southern Morocco’s most fascinating kasbahs on your way to Marrakech, passing through the majestic High Atlas Mountains. Visit the historic Kasbah Amridil in Skoura, explore the UNESCO-listed Ait Ben Haddou, and admire the Telouet Kasbah. Along the way, take in the breathtaking contrast of landscapes, from arid pre-Saharan terrain to lush alpine valleys, farmlands, and olive groves, dotted with traditional Berber villages. Cross the Tichka Pass before gradually descending into the Marrakech plains, arriving around 5 PM. This marks the conclusion of your 4-day journey from Fes to Marrakech.
