Marrakech – Marrakech
Day 1 : Marrakech – Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou – Boumalne Dades
Your adventure starts with a departure from Marrakech, journeying through the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass in the High Atlas Mountains. Along the route, you’ll take in stunning views of the rugged mountain scenery before reaching the renowned Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a backdrop for films like Gladiator. After enjoying lunch, head to Ouarzazate for a quick visit to the Atlas Film Studios. Conclude the day by traveling to Boumalne Dades, where you’ll have dinner and spend the night at a hotel near the breathtaking Dades Canyon.
Day 2 : Boumalne Dades – Tinghir – Merzouga
In the morning, after breakfast at the hotel, we will depart for Merzouga, passing through the Todra Gorges. We’ll stop for lunch and then continue our journey toward the desert. Once we reach the impressive dunes of Merzouga, we’ll be welcomed with tea and experience the warm hospitality of the desert people. Upon arriving at the hotel, which marks the entrance to the desert, we’ll leave our luggage behind and only bring what we need for the night in the desert. We’ll meet the camels that will take us to the camp, where we’ll watch the sunset, enjoy a traditional dinner with typical music, and spend the third night of our 5-day trip from Marrakech to Merzouga.
Day 3 : Visit Merzouga Desert
It’s essential to wake up early to witness the stunning sunrise in the heart of the desert. Enjoy some free time for breakfast before returning to Merzouga on camelback, where your driver will be waiting. We’ll spend the day discovering the Merzouga region, known for its remarkable landscapes, including dunes, natural lakes, mines, fossil sites, and enchanting oases—perfect spots for various outdoor activities.
Our journey to Merzouga begins with a visit to an old eyeliner mine, followed by a stop to meet the nomads in their handwoven tents. Over a glass of Berber tea, we’ll learn about their lifestyle. Next, we head to the village of Khamlia to experience the music and dance of the Gnaouas, whose people come from countries like Mali, Sudan, and Niger, south of the Sahara. Afterward, enjoy some free time for lunch at a local restaurant. We’ll take a walk through a palm grove before driving a few kilometers to the wild Oasis of Hassi Labiad. Dinner and an overnight stay will be at the hotel or riad.
Day 4 : Merzouga – Draa valley – Ouarzazate
We will wake up early to catch the sunrise, then begin the fourth day of our 5-day journey from Marrakech to the Merzouga desert, returning to Ouarzazate. Along the way, we will pass through the stunning landscapes of the Draa Valley. After crossing the Anti Atlas Mountains, we will reach Ouarzazate and spend the night at a hotel or riad.
Day 5 : Ouarzazate – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech
After enjoying breakfast at your hotel or Riad, we’ll embark on a journey to Ouarzazate, renowned for the Kasbah Taourirt and its impressive film studios. Following this visit, we’ll drive back to Marrakech, traversing the scenic High Atlas Mountains. Along the way, we’ll stop at the ancient Kasbah Telouet, one of the oldest in the region. We’ll then ascend the Tizi N’tichka pass and enjoy a delicious lunch before arriving back in Marrakech. This concludes our 5-Day Marrakech to Merzouga Desert Tour.

Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast of the Semantics, a large language ocean. A small river named Duden flows by their place and supplies it with the necessary regelialia.
It is a paradisematic country, in which roasted parts of sentences fly into your mouth. Even the all-powerful Pointing has no control about the blind texts it is an almost unorthographic life One day however.
